We will:
- Only use our FIRST name when writing
- ALWAYS use SENSIBLE and KIND words after all, this is still a school activity! Remember to write comments about others that will help them and make them feel proud of the effort they have put into their work!
- Respect your classmates and their ideas. Just like in class, we never put people down. If you disagree, do so with respect and kindness.
- Be careful when putting PHOTOS on
- Ask PERMISSION when putting on other people's photos - tell them what you are going to do with the photos
- Only display nice photos of other people (we don't want people to be embarrassed)
- Best spellings are required. This is not myspace! Spell out words as correctly as you can and try to use proper punctuation. Go back and 'Edit Entry' later if you realise there is a mistake, or someone else mentions it to you.
- Be RESPONSIBLE when using and writing on our blog.
Using Blogging at school helps you to:
- “Own your own learning”
- grow with your peers
- reflect on your thinking
- learn to collaborate
- improve your writing and digital literacy skills
- understand there is a global community which can help you learn even more
- become part of something bigger than your own classroom
- learn to use digital tools safely and appropriately
- begin to create a positive digital footprint
